Off to Australia p3

So here we are again. 

Heading to Australia, Melbourne Tullamarine Airport to be precice. 

In this flight I didn't get any sleep 

Instead I watched couple of movies

First movie was : 

Pitch Perfect

That was ok Not a must to see -.-

And the second movie was :

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

Now that movie I liked 

It had a nice story

And interesting to watch.

Of course they brought us meals that I don't remember now :p

But they were all delicious.

Including the snacks.

When the movies were over 

Not much time was left to see another movie.

So I just watched some TV series like : 

Friends 

2 Broke Girls

The big bang theory

And some disney series as well

We arrived earlier than expected to Melbourne

I think the flight was meant to be there at 8:35 AM

And we landed at 8:05 AM

If I wasn't mistaken.

Any ways before we land they gave us this yellow slip of paper.

An English one .. but this is an arabic one for the arabic readers :p

And the future Scholarists ;p

We finally got off the plane.

We went and took our luggage.

Guides and Help are all over.

And also there are some people who come and ask you if you have any food

or anything from the list that you checked in.

And after that they stamp on your yellow card.

Long line to wait until our turn is up.

After the Australians were in they opened another path for us 

Now any citizen could go to national or the Australian row.

They ask you couple of questions like the one  

written in the card.

Compare your passport pic to you :p

And let you in.

If you had an online passport that didn't show.

They take you to a counter next by them just to check and then let you in.

On your way out of the luggage and passport area they take the yellow card from you.

If you need any help you could ask the counter with the volunteers 

They are actually for universities but they come and ask you 

If you need any help or assistance even though your not a student.

After that we bought a sim card and went for breakfast at Nando's 

until the bus came since I need to go to 

Bendigo Airport Station

After we finished eating breakfast.

We went just out the airport to where the bus is going to come and waited there.

The Bendigo Airport Station Bus arrived

We bought a ticket and off we went.

It was a 2 hour trip till the station.

The bus driver called a taxi so we could go home.

Yaay finally arrived.

Took a shower to freshen up.

Then went out to open an account and enroll at Tafe.

Then home to sleep !! 

That's all folks ;p

So Here we are again 

The plane landed at Dubai 

We have 3 and a half hours to spend in the airport

It looked different to me since I haven't been to Dubai airport since summer 2009-2010 

After 9th grade I mean

We had to check in to get our seat numbers at first 

After that we had a look around.

Went to duty free and bought a magazine and a book I'll be writing my feed back about after I finish reading it.

Almost an hour or so left for the gate to open.

So we went to sit near the gate.

Chatted a little with friends and family.

Then time to go in ;p 

Went in .. sat a little until the crew started to call us by the order of the seats.

We're in :P

Dubai to Singapore/Melbourne (Australia)

About 17 hours

I don't remember what meals they gave us exactly but they were all good ;p

And the snack I don't know about because I fell a sleep after the first meal xD 

First I finished watching :

Here comes the boom 

It was good I guess.

After that I watched Hotel Transylvania

I liked it .. It was pretty funny !

I woke up couple of times because of the annoying kid who wouldn't stop crying !!

Then after 5 hours - I think-  I was really up

Ate lunch I guess and rewinded the rest of the film that I slept while it was running xD

The flight was about 10 hours 

I got a gift in that flight as well ;p

I was still dizzy when a cute girl from the crew came to wish me luck in my studies.

Apparently she was talking with my mom when I was  a sleep.

She said goodbye as we were going out.

As well as the young man from the crew

After that we had to stop at Singapore airport.

They let us down to clean the airplane and change the crew

So we went out into the airport 

Got into the rest rooms to freshen up.

I've noticed they had recycle bins that looked amazingly interesting.

Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of them.

But I found the pic in google :P

I liked the idea of it.

After maybe 30 min the gate opened again

They asked us to show our visa with the passports 

And Off we went ;p

Emirates - EK 854 - 

Kuwait - Dubai 3:50 AM

For 1:30 hours

It was AMAZING !!!!!

I met a cabin crew member that was so cute !!

Her name is Asma I talked to her a little while we were waiting to be seated.

She first asked me about my studies and which country and if its my first time and how old am I and so ;p 

She literally spoiled me and I LOVED it !! 

At first we had a seat and put our seat belts on .. 

Just about when the plane wanted to start moving .. 

Asma started giving out the monsters supposedly to the children but I got one too :p

Actually I got the purple monster but I already had it before and I had it hanged on my laptop bag :p

So I asked her if she could change it. 

Asma : Of course what color would you like ?

Me : It's ok anything blue or green it doesn't make a difference

(as I saw the tray that had the toys have blue and green colors)

She went somewhere then as she came back to check the seat belts she asked me to wait for a minute and she'll bring the toy after a bit.

Instead of bringing 1 she brought all the other colors !!

Blue - Green - Yellow the three of them !

Later she came with an instant camera and took 

1 picture me alone 

2 pictures of mom and me 

She had them put into frames and wrote me a memory above one of the pictures ♡

I was spoiled by her and the other cabin crew as well.

Especially from Asma ..

And another girl - unfortunately I don't remember her name but I remember that she had a dream to study in Paris - That gave me advice. 

Girls I really do appreciate it a lot !

Almost more than half way passed when Asma came with a goodies bag ready for us.

It had traveling samples, water and chocolates .. etc .. 

All as doubles as she said it was for me and mom.

She had this ready for me to wish me good luck 

I wrote her a thank you letter .. and she did wrote me a letter as well.. we swapped the letters while talking a bit when we wanted to go off the plane.

I'm really lucky that I met her 

And very honored that we still keep in touch.

BTW I watched the movie : Here comes the Boom on the plane 

and continued the last 15 min maybe on the other flight.

We had eggs with spinach and cheese and a sausage for breakfast with side dishes of a salad, fruits , crackers and croissant .

Off to Australia

Since I got my acceptance .. 

I didn't feel anything regarding the traveling.

My friends and family told me that I might feel things in the last week.

Well, Guess again !

I didn't xD

I felt it the day I left Kuwait.

To be exact I felt it when I hugged my grandfather 

and M. before leaving home.

Since they couldn't come to the airport 

because they need to wake up early 

and it was 1 AM already !

I held myself together so I won't cry while hugging them

 and in the car as well.

After arriving at the airport we went to check our bags .

Guess what again ?! 

I'm still 14 kg over after I took 10 kg out at home xD

I took out some stuff into other bags .. 

And some went into a bag that went back home again ;p 

Then we went to Caribou Coffee.

Ordered coffee and brownies .. 

Took pictures since it will take a long time to pass for a reunion

We're about to get in .. 

I hugged cousin H. .. Aunt H.. and Aunt M. 

I handled to get my self together and not cry.

Then I hugged my brother F. 

And tears started to run !!

Hugged everyone again .. kisses and wishes here and there.

We're in gate 21 waiting for our turn to go in the plane.

So last time we stopped while talking about finishing everything in the clinic.

It was December 2nd, 2012

After finishing from sending the papers or should I say the file

And taking the pink paper from Mr. Khalil

We headed to the IDP office

We went in and the woman asked for :

My acceptance papers

My passport

200 KD cash for fees

The pink paper ( for reference of the medical papers that were sent by DHL )

Then she gave me an application to fill and sign when I'm done

After that we wait ...

The visa is supposed to finish most likely from 10 or 20 days till a month max

I called couple of times to check about what happened and they always answered that its under progress

January 7th, 2013

12:36 Pm  .. My phone rang

Me : Hello

IDP : Hello Ms, Fatima ?

Me : Yes .. ?

IDP : This is the IDP .. we would like to tell you that your visa has arrived

Me : Oh good thank you .. when could I pick it up ?

IDP : You could come today after 2 or tomorrow morning

I went there almost at 4 .. 10 minutes later my visa was in my hands

I was so happy I can't even tell you how !!

Such a relief !!

It gave me too much stress that it was late !!

Scanned the visa

uploaded them to the site

The next morning .. January 8th 2013

I went to MOHE to continue the rest -.-

12 something I was there .. went to the 4th floor

Australian section .. Hind was there that day

I told her I came for the financial business lol

She asked if I got my visa and uploaded it

And then asked for my ID number

After that I was done she said after 10 days it's supposed to be in my bank account

Went for the 11th floor to ask for more questions and to make sure as well

She gave me a paper with the amount of money that I should be having

And what is for what ;p

While talking to her and explaining she told me that before they had 2 ways for giving the money

Either by transferring the money to the bank account or by giving out a cheque

But the cheque was cancelled from couple of years ago

Anyways on I checked on

And the money was in my bank account

This medical examination is more accurate and strict 

Since students have to study for a while in Australia so they need to do all the necessary examinations 

You will be asked to have these tests in Al.Hadi Hospital/Clinic and only there

Who ever went before knows that your passport needs to be with you plus pictures

Remember the photos I hated ? Thats the best way to get rid of them xD

They took 4 of them .. and stapled 2 on each examination paper 

Since there is 2 different tests so you know ..

So let me tell you what I did

The same day 27th of November

I went home called the clinic and asked if the doctors where there

since only 2 doctors can do the check up for us

Luckily one of them was on duty

It was so crowded !! Too much people !

Only 2 on the counter

And the lines where going as so as a snail !! maybe even slower -.-

Finally our turn came

They wanted the passport my ID .. my mom's ID also and some money

To open a file in my name and for the check up

I think they took 35 KD maybe ?!

After we paid we went inside to wait for the doctor to call us in

Other thing I didn't like is that there are no numbers for the waiting !

So you don't know how many patients are in front of you

nor if you can go somewhere and come back again

My name came up

Went in .. they asked for the papers couple of pictures

I think he took 4 if I'm not mistaken

The nurse measured my hight and weight

apparently I lost 2 kg xD

Then she took my blood pressure

Some long questions -.-

Yes or no

How many years am I going to stay

bla bla bla ...

Then he asked me to go downstairs

Take an X-Ray for my chest and a urine test

Went to pay and don't remember 

how much did the x-ray cost and urine test was for 4.5 or 6 KD I think.

So went first for the x-ray

Took out the other paper -.-

Some similar questions some new ones

Then I needed to wait a bit till they call my name

Got in .. they gave me a blue robe to change to

Remove any metal objects

Put up my hair

Wear the protection thing xD

Then stand up straight with hands on the waist to take the x-ray ;p

They told me to come take it the next day since it won't even help if I took it the same day

Went then for the urine test ..

After that I left

No more than 10 min. The doctor called

He asked me to re-do the test for some reason

I went back in 4 days and re did it

One thing that surprised me especially in a private hospital

Is that they didn't take any fees to redo the test

just because they didn't print the results

That's a plus I guess

Took my results

My x-ray

Then went back to the first doctor .. he checked everything

Then told me that I'm all done

When I wanted to go to Mr. Khalil the man who should send the results as DHL

But one guy who worked their said that he left -.-

And it was still not 7 ! they told us before that he leaves at 7 !

He also told us that all the results should be sealed and stamped

If it wasn't for him I don't know what I had done

He was the most helpful guy over their

After we sealed the envelopes and got them stamped

we talked to the doctor and asked the nice guy when will Khalil  be there

We went back the next morning got everything sent

Paid 5KD for Mr. Khalil for DHL fees

Then went to IDP ..
